This week Pentagon Plastics are looking forward to presenting one London Southbank University student with an award for the Best Product & Injection Mould Tool Design.
In February, we welcomed engineering students from the University for a site visit and presentation, discussing the future of the industry and to provide students with first hand experience of a working plastic moulding company.
As a result, we put forward a plan to award one student who showed great skill and thought in their final degree project.
The course tutor submitted the top five projects for evaluation and following a review of each project in detail, and looking at the level of understanding shown surrounding injection moulding and toolmaking, we chose a winner who will receive the award.
The award consists of a one day, all expenses paid on-site technical visit here at Pentagon, where the student will get to choose the area of our business that interests them the most and spend the whole day with our technical experts and their teams. This is with a view to gain further knowledge that will assist them going forward in their studies and career.
