Through a range of engagement initiatives, the group supports the development of both industry specific knowledge and employability skills. As recognition of the continued commitment of the business the organisation holds the Investment in Young People accreditation. This national award recognises the important work that small to medium businesses carry out, helping people aged between 5 and 25 to gain employability skills to assist them with the transition from education into the world of work.
We look to accommodate work experience placements where a keen interest in our business process has been identified. By welcoming students in to the work environment we provide an ‘on the job experience’ to gain an understanding of the demands and opportunities that a career in UK manufacture and engineering can present.The journey from education into employment can be uncertain and by offering work placement experience at an early stage young people can better understand where they may be best placed to begin their individual career path.
