The team at Pentagon are excited to reveal that they have made the finals in two categories of this year’s prestigious Plastics Industry Awards.
Apprentice or Trainee of the Year and Processor of the Year, this is incredible news for the team at Pentagon and having won the Sussex Chamber of Business award for Equality Trailblazer could this be a multi-award-winning year for the group?
Pentagon were delighted to share the details of the extensive training and development schedule that has been undertaken by trainee Mould Technician, Youssef, and his professional certification achievements to date. Youssef is a dynamic individual with a real thirst for knowledge, joining the business in 2021 he fast became a key member of the Setter Technician team and the wider Moulding Division. To win this award would be a fantastic accolade for his dedication and commitment to his professional training as well as the company, we are confident he will have a bright future ahead within the plastics industry.
Reaching the finals for the Processor of the Year category for the second time in three years is fantastic recognition of the business’s exponential growth in production, staffing levels and its re-investment programme. The group have also taken strides to deliver environmental improvements throughout our manufacturing process. A win at the 2nd time of entering this category of the Plastics Industry Awards would be incredible for the Group, as we are one of the few UK moulders to offer both mould tool manufacture and plastic injection moulding production.
Pentagon are proud to be delivering a full UK solution within the plastics sector supply chain.
Managing Director and Business Owner, Paul Edwards says ‘It is a great boost to all our staff to be nominated as finalists in the Processor of the Year category. Without all their hard work and dedication through what has been a very busy and therefore testing time we would not be able to stand tall against our peers. It is also amazing for Youssef to be nominated as Apprentice or Trainee of the Year as he is a highly regarded individual in the business who has time for everyone and is dedicated to being the best version of himself that he can be in both his work and attitude. A true breath of fresh air. ’
The Awards evening itself takes place on Friday 17thNovember at the Intercontinental London Park Lane and Pentagon look forward to celebrating the successes of the Plastics industry with fellow finalists and all those attending.
