As with every new year we are filled with optimism for the coming 12 months, but in contrast to recent years we are kicking off 2023 with a major increase in production capacity with extended visibility.
In November 2022 we introduced a third production shift into our existing schedule, taking us to 24-hour production over 5 days and this is set to continue until at least the end of February, if not beyond. Going the extra mile to support one of our longstanding customers in the medical sector we are facilitating a 700%increase in their production demand over the coming months. Pentagon has reacted positively with key team members offering flexibility to their existing work patterns and the swift recruitment of fixed term Operating staff, we are seeing a seamless transition to the new shift patterns.
The strong supplier relations we have built up over many years has enabled us to quickly draw in high levels of raw material at short notice to ensure that we can meet customer lead times and that there are no unnecessary delays in production.
Only a few days in and the new year has already seen placement of significant production orders from other customers in the medical industry, for ventilation components which is in part driven from the increasing COVID challenges that China are facing.
As we move into a new calendar year we recognise the increasing need for a flexible approach to production post pandemic, Pentagon are proud to have such a positive and reactive workforce which enables us to deliver this exceptional level of customer service.
While the Moulding Division looks to be running at high capacity for the coming months other areas of the business will be a hive of activity. The Tooling Division has new tooling projects to start the year with a strong pipeline of opportunities expected to be placed, while the Tool Servicing team have already taken delivery of 2x multi cavity fast cycling tools in need of TLC.
Later in the year we will be exhibiting at two industry events, Engineering Solutions Live on 23rd March and Interplas UK on 26TH-28THSeptember where we look forward to catching up with customers, suppliers and business associates both old and new.
