Jan 6, 2021

From April this year the Pentagon Plastics Group (incorporating Pentagon Plastics Ltd & Phoenix Engineering) have been operating under the guidance of a new management team.

Following the retirement of longstanding Operations Manager, Ron Fraser in March, MD Paul Edwards has restructured the business implementing a new wave of leadership to take the business forward over the coming years.

Meet the Team

Left to Right:

Phil Tuckwell: Tooling Division Manager

Gabby Day: Communications Manager

Liz Ratcliffe: Financial Control Manager

Graham Fooks: Moulding Division Manager

Paul Edwards: Managing Director

John Horspool: Operations Manager

As the business makes its transition to form the Pentagon Plastics group, made up of the Moulding and Tooling Division, Paul has three key managers supporting him directly with two divisional heads making up the management team covering all elements of the business.

To ensure that the entire workforce continue to be well supported and equipped with opportunities to develop their roles, Pentagon have invested into Management and Leadership training.  Following analysis of offerings in the market, Pentagon decided to implement a bespoke on-site training scheme delivered by Joanna Brown of Employ Law.

The full spectrum of training has been made up of 5 individual sessions which cover a variety of key management topics.  These include; Line Management Essentials, Communication & Building Effective Workplace Relationships, Managing Others, Delegation and finally Effective Team Management.

The new team have found these sessions already beneficial and they are learning new skills and refreshing those that they already have.  At this pivotal point of change within the organisation Paul felt it important that his newly appointed support team adopt a united and consistent approach to the company’s leadership strategy.
