Pentagon Tooling Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced injection mould Toolmaker to manufacture and assemble bespoke mould tooling solutions. Working with Pentagons precision engineering team bringing critical thinking, precision engineering skills and knowledge of manufacturing a range of injection mould tooling solutions.
The Toolmaker role will include:
Machining to a high standard on a range of toolroom machines
The manufacture of full mould tooling and modular systems in steels and alloys to a high standard
The assembly and fitting of tooling elements
Modifications and refurbishment of existing mould tooling
Servicing and repairs of mould tooling
Manufacture of jigs & fixtures to support the mould shop
Inspection of own work to a high standard
Accountable for quality of work produced
To be successful in this role the following skills are required:
Extensive knowledge and experience of working on injection mould tools
The ability to read and interpret technical drawings
The ability to utilise standard toolroom machinery such as surface grinders, cylindrical grinder, manual lathes and mills to a high standard.
Knowledge of CAD CAM software such as VISI, AutoCAD and Solidworks
Knowledge of spark/wire erosion of benefit but not essential
Knowledge of CMM inspection of benefit but not essential
Great communication skills are essential as you will work closely with other team members of the tooling and moulding divisions. You will be required to carry out accurate and consistent quality checks on your work and have a thoughtful and pragmatic approach to problem/breakdown situations.
Core working hours are 08:00am - 04:00pm with some flexibility (8 hours per day_ Monday - Friday
Pentagon provides a clean and positive working environment with available onsite parking. We provide a generous holiday package of 33 days per annum (including bank holidays).
After initial 3 month period: Government Pension
After first year of employment: Group Cash Plan (Optional) and Annual Attendance Bonus (2 additional days leave dependingon short-term absence for previous year/Bradford Factor Scoring matrix)
