We are a plastic injection moulder with a full Toolroom manufacturing, servicing, repairing and modifying customer owned tooling and supporting the extensive Production Moulding facility. You will be working within our highly skilled engineering team delivering exceptional standards of mould tool manufacture.

The Toolmaker role will include:


   Machining to a high standard on a range of toolroom machines


   The manufacture of full mould tooling and modular systems in steels and  alloys to a high standard


   The assembly and fitting of tooling elements


   Modifications and refurbishment of existing mould tooling


   Servicing and repairs of mould tooling


   Manufacture of jigs & fixtures to support the mould shop


   Inspection of own work to a high standard


   Accountable for quality of work produced

To be successful in this role the following skills are required:

Extensive knowledge and experience of working on injection mould tools

The ability to read and interpret technical drawings

The ability to utilise standard toolroom machinery such as surface grinders, cylindrical grinder, manual lathes and mills to a high standard.

Knowledge of CAD CAM software such as VISI, AutoCAD and Solidworks

Knowledge of spark/wire erosion of benefit but not essential

Knowledge of CMM inspection of benefit but not essential

Great communication skills are essential as you will work closely with other team members of the tooling and moulding divisions. You will be required to carry out accurate and consistent quality checks on your work and have a thoughtful and pragmatic approach to problem/breakdown situations.
