Pentagon took part in its first industry event of the year on Thursday 11th May. Engineering Materials Live took place at the National Motor Cycle Museum in Birmingham and was a speedy one day pop up event. The event organised by MA Business had a fantastic 1,000 pre–show visitor registrations which was exceptional as this is the first year that the event has taken place.
Doors opened to the event at 08:30 am where exhibitors and visitors were welcomed with a great spread of hospitality. The event was aimed specifically at engineering professionals who are tasked with sourcing and specifying plastic mouldings, composites, prototyped parts and advanced engineering materials and the early footfall was a positive indicator that the event would be a success.
Technical moulding enquiries
The quality of enquiries that the Pentagon team received over the course of the 6 hours was excellent, discussing some exciting potential technical moulding and mould tooling projects with visitors to the stand. Also utilising the opportunity to showcase the services of Pentagon’s sister company Phoenix Engineering (which was acquired by Pentagon in June 2016) brought a good level of interest.
Success for the team
Overall the show was a great success and Pentagon now looks forward to further discussions surrounding potential new injection moulding projects. In addition to new lead generation, the team was also able to use the event to network with some of their industry suppliers including Ultra Polymers, Ogle Models, KD Fedderson and Romi Machines UK.
