The Plastic Injection Moulding facility is the core of the business and provides quality manufacture of customer bespoke components.
We view re-investment as a key factor to ensure our equipment and resources are maintained to a high level to meet the rigorous demands of manufacturing today. This ensures that we maintain a clean working area with state of the art moulding and ancillary equipment.
The good practices that have been put in place enables us to service a wide range of medical and technical industry sectors who have high expectation of their supply chain network.Our Mould Shop is accredited to ISO9001:2008 Quality Standards providing a flexible and fully traceable system. The quality department approve initial samples and monitor the production to ensure consistency of manufacture through the process.
The modern facility boasts ten Injection Moulding Machines ranging from 22 tonne to 280 tonne clamp force achieving shot weights from 0.5 grm up to 550 gms. Historically our machine range has been fully hydraulic but through our re-investment program we are delivering a mixture of hybrid and fully electric equipment to improve both output and efficiency. Our extensive range of dryers ensure materials are ready to be processed and the ancillary equipment is maintained to a high standard.
All of our moulding machines are linked to our Intouch Monitoring System to aid control through manufacture and to optimise the scheduled flow of production.
Our fully trained Mould Technicians are experienced in many forms of mould tooling from development through to basic and multi-cavity hot runners and are comfortable with virtually all types of thermoplastic materials. During production our Technicians operate a Production Optimisation Programme to ensure products are manufactured to exact specifications. Regardless of whether it is a hot or cold feed tooling system, requiring semi-automatic production performed by our dedicated machine operators, or fully automatic production our technicians offer a wealth of experience.
We operate a two shift system starting our machines at 7am through to 11pm, 5 days a week, with extra hours worked as production demands. This offers our customers a minimum of 720 moulding machine hours to have at their disposal.
We provide low volume manufacture (10 or less) through to medium volume supply in the region of 150,000 batches to many industry sectors. There are many forms of Supply that we undertake to best suit the needs of our Customers with many tailored specifically.
Our injection moulding facility is supported by fully equipped Toolmaking & Post Moulding departments therefore providing our customers with a full plastic injection moulding service.
