CNC Machinist

You will be working as part of the CNC Machining team, within the Tooling Division here at Pentagon. The Engineering team provide full on-site mould tool manufacture and supporting services to a wide range of industry sectors, meaning no two days are the same.

The CNC Machinist Role will include:

Machining to a high standard on a range of toolroom machines

General machining in steels and alloys to support tooling elements and general machined parts

Manufacture of jigs & fixtures to support the mould shop

Inspection of own work to a high standard

Accountable for quality of work produced

To be successful in this role you will be competent across the following CNC machines:

DMU 50Evo Linear 5 axis with Heidenhain control

 

MikronVCE 800 Pro 3 + 1 axis with Heidenhain control

 

MikronVCE 600 Pro 3 + 1 axis with Heidenhain control

 

HurcoVMC’s 3 axis with Winmax control

Knowledge and experience of working with injection mould tools is preferable for this role with sound experience of CAD CAM software including VISI CAM.

Great communication skills are essential as you will be working closely with a cross section of the Engineering team as well as the Moulding Division. A keen eye for detail will enable you to deliver the requirements of this precision engineering role.
