Step inside our Mould Shop…

The Mould Shop is ISO9001 accredited and offers a comprehensive range of modern injection moulding machines, maintained to a high standard from 22 tonne to 280 tonne clamp force. This allows us to mould shot weights from 0.5 gram up to approx. 550 grams subject to the thermoplastic being processed. The size of product can therefore range from a very small component up to an approximate size of 400mm².

We mould virtually all types of prime grade Thermoplastics, especially high engineering materials including filled and unfilled grades with or without additives.
The range of machines has been purposely stepped closely in size to assist scheduling. This is so we can provide you with the best possible service on delivery. When building the tooling, we also ensure that the moulds can fit more than one of our machines wherever possible to further assist this process.

Manufacturing is controlled by our full MRP Supply Chain system providing full visibility through the production process with fully detailed Bill of Materials and operation Routings for each individual component.

Our quality standards are maintained by following a dedicated Quality Plan for every job processed. The inspectors complete First Article Inspection Reports to gain approval and set ongoing quality requirements with the customer at the initial product approval stage. Quality is then maintained in production through first off control checks, in process monitoring and final release sign off.

Pentagon Plastics and Injection Moulding

Our injection moulding service was first established in 1972 and is the core of the business. It operates in a 6,500 sq. ft. purpose built area in our facility in Horsham to meet the demands of our extensive customer base.

The facility is manned by our competent, experienced and fully trained staff. They deliver operator and fully automatic production solutions as well as limited over-moulding capabilities.

The standard hours of operation for the Mould Shop are 16-hour days over a two shift pattern five days a week. This provides us with the opportunity to increase our capacity through changing the shift pattern at times of exceptional high demand to meet your requirements.
