TOOLMAKING
The Toolroom manufactures and services the mould tools supplied into our Mould Shop and is an integral part of the service that we offer. Regular investment ensures that the staff and machinery deliver quality mould tools that produce products that meet or exceed their expectations. Our approach ensures that the tools are built to a high standard and are maintained between runs as well as prioritising tool breakdowns to provide optimum turn around on production runs.
Modular Inserts
This low cost tooling system has brought many low volume and medium volume products to the market in a cost effective manner and in competitive lead times.
Budget Mould Tools
This system gives you the comfort of owning a full basic mould tool and is preferred by some. As with the Modular Inserts it is well suited to low volume production in a cost effective manner in competitive lead times.
Steel Mould Tools
Our toolmakers are vastly experienced in the manufacture of all forms of tooling including straight open and shut, three plates, side action, multi-cavity and hot runner moulds. Whilst the majority of tools are produced to service our own requirements we also offer a refurbishment service and sub-contract tooling.
Rapid Tooling
Tool inserts can be designed direct from 3D data and turned around in 7 to 10 days through laser sintering processes. This does not complement every tooling situation but can be worth considering if timescales are the most important issue.
China Tooling
To give our Customers greater choice we also offer a fully managed Tooling Service through our approved network of Chinese Toolmakers.We are passionate supporters of UK Manufacturing but feel it is imperative to allow our Customers the greater choice in today’s market.
Maintenance
To ensure tools are maintained we run a preventative maintenance system on all of the tools between runs as part of the component price. This ensures that the tool is in its optimum condition whenever we need to run repeat production and reduces the after care costs to the Customer.
