DEVELOPMENT / LOW VOLUME

The company was first formed as Small Batch Plastics to offer potential customers a service for prototyping and development of injection moulded parts from simple modular inserts or basic full mould tools. This traditional method of moving from concept to a finish moulded part in the material that you require is still widely used by our business partners and compliments our Rapid Prototyping service.

Modular Inserts

Inserts are manufactured from Alloy, Mild Steel, P20 or fully hardened Tool Steel depending on the tool life required. They fit our bolsters meaning that you only pay a part cost of the total tool. This system has brought many low volume and prototype products to the market in a cost effective manner in competitive lead times.

Basic Mould Tools

A range of basic mould tools usually from Alloy Die Sets. The product can be cut straight into the tool plate or within a steel insert if required to maintain a quality shut out. This system gives you the comfort of owning the full mould tool and is preferred by some.

Machined Components

Complementing our Prototyping and Development services we also supply low volume machined items utilising our modern Machining Centres. The common materials used are Acetal, Nylon or PVC.
